Dix ou la chance!
This game is used to reinforce language structures and vocabulary. Prepare by putting pieces of paper in an envelope. Put different points ranging from 0 to 50 on the pieces of paper. You can also put “Ah zut!” which sends the team back to 0. Divide your students into teams. Using Popsicle sticks, draw a name. Ask that student a question. The important part is that the student attempts to use the structure. Once they have answered, they can either choose 10 points or take a chance on the envelope. Continue until everyone has answered a question. |
Ne pousse pas ta chance!
This is an easy-to-prepare activity that encourages use of oral language. Start by putting “10 points” on five pieces of paper and “Ah zut!” on a sixth piece of paper. Place them inside of an envelope. Next, divide your class into teams. Using Popsicle sticks, ask a question to a student. When the student answers a question using the intended structure, they get to choose a card from the envelope. They can continue choosing cards in order to accumulate more points, but the risk of finding “Ah zut!” increases each time. If they find “Ah zut!”, they lose all of the points they accumulated in that round. Continue until all students have an opportunity to respond. The team with the most points wins. |
